Donald Trump’s brazen pardon of all January 6^th “rioters” demonstrates how shameless he is, in attempting to rewrite history.  There are probably other terms that more accurately describe their disgraceful role in trying to steal an election and keep a defeated president in power – no matter the will of the majority of Americans who voted him out.

Especially the rioters who viciously attacked police, who were hopelessly outnumbered.  This Moderate thought we all agreed that law enforcement officers deserve to be respected and supported for their willingness to risk their own lives to protect the rest of us.

Thank goodness Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) and a handful of other Republicans had the backbone to condemn Trump’s pardons – while most GOP politicians were dutifully lining up to kiss his… uh, ring.  So much for the Party of Law and Order, as they like to portray themselves.

Trump himself, when pressed at a news conference, claimed he was the “friend of police, more than any other president that’s been in this office”.  Yeah, right.  And we’re sure, since the term “real-estate salesman” more accurately describes him, he also has a bridge he’d like to sell us.
